Chinor Emeka gets international recognition


Organiser and producer of Miss Heritage Nigeria (MHN) and Heritage Awards, Chinor Emeka, has received international recognition for her work. Emeka, founder of the National Heritage Awards and Miss Heritage Nigeria was in Nairobi, Kenya recently where she was honoured by the Institute for Leadership & Management in collaboration with Achiever’s Media to receive the African Achiever’s Recognition award on February 23, at the Hilton, Nairobi, Kenya.
“I was overwhelmed by the award. The fact that I am being appreciated in far away Kenya has encouraged me to work even harder,” Emeka said. She also disclosed that plans are in the pipeline to take the pageant to Abuja. Commenting on the need for cultural rejuvenation she said: “We are blessed with a beautiful cultural heritage and natural resources but our culture is gradually depreciating.
A lot of the youths have talents but they need guidance. And that is what we have set out to achieve on the Miss Heritage platform and Heritage Awards. Instituted in 2011, winners include Miss Princess Peace Ayoka who won the maiden edition of MHN in 2011 and Miss Lilan Onabu who won in 2012
